Reflection two

Writing:

I am working hard,to finishing it off properly. I learnt about punctuations and key vocab.

I am going to improve more of my writing just by work hard.

Math:

 

I have learnt about decades and centuries. The only thing that I don't like about maths is  working it out, because  it is quite hard. I'm going to improve on my decades.

Multimedia:

I am leaning about pop art. We were  Drawing and animating our faces on the computer.

I am going to improve in my multimedia.

Art Gallery

On Wednesday morning, Room 14  went to the Art gallery in the hall at Pt England School.
We saw so much art, I felt elated. I saw me and my classmates's art. It was a picture of us, but in pop art colours.

When we were in the art gallery it felt really dark a little. But when we went on the stage there was a board that was showing pictures of popular art.

I saw a lot of fine art, and some that were hanging on strings for a good view. It was all excellent. There were artist painting of themselves.

There was a lot of painting from classes that were artistic. My favorite painting was the one I did from Room 14. I could of chosen someone else's, but I liked mine.

Overall, I thought there was going to be so much more. It could have had more art, but really I enjoyed it.

Gumboots.

Youth Town

On Wednesday Room 14 went to Youth Town on a bus to the city. When we were on the bus some of us sang and sang. After that we arrived at the city some of us saw the Sky Tower. Room 14 and room 17 had to bring their togs so we could go in the heated pool. Some of us in room 14 went with Room 17. 

The people in my class went to make clay,and I made a Skateboard. When we made our clay sculptures we had to make a square shape. All of us had to carefully trim the edges. Then we had to get the left out pieces, and fold it into a worm shape, and glue it onto the edge sides.

After we had made our clay image we had to decorate it with glass and some other things. But we didn't just pick up with our hands! we had a spoon. Then we had to put our name on and give it to Georgia. She is a professional with clay. After that she got it ready for the kiln, so it could look brilliant.

In the end I like spying on my friends in the pool, BUT the pool a little cold.

P.E.P.A showcase

Yesterday there was a P.E.P.A concert on. I liked about the rap, when Neo and his crew went  WILD. It was Awesome looking at it, but I didn't know someone from tamaki college would be that flexible. Wow hes crazy cool! his Hip hop was old school.

Some of my favorite dances that was from p.e.p.a were the breakdances, girls hip hop, ballet, and boys hip hop. The project of rap was quite hard to understand, but still there voice was good. The ballet was also talent.

Andy Warhol's Biography

I really enjoy looking at the bright colours and bold lines that are used for Andy Warhol’s art. Warhol was a pop artist who was full of life and talent. In august 6th 1928, Andy Warhol was born. His parents had come from Slovakia. At slovakia things were hard there. So then his parents moved to the US.
When Warhol was 8 he had a chorea disease. Andy Warhol`s mum gave him some old Newspaper so he can cut some photos of Celebrities.

Andy went to Schenley High School. He didn't have many friends at his new school because he was so quiet and had blonde hair. Warhol liked to collect photos of  celebrities and go to the movies. After Andrew finished high school he went to Carnegie Institute University. In 1949 he graduated in Pictorial design.

In the 1960s warhol began creating Pop Art.  Andy Warhol painted large pictures of a Supermarket, and Celebrities. He created his Pop Art at a factory which was his studio. Famous people were always at his studio.

Andy Warhol died after a gallbladder operation in 1987.

1. How do you feel about the work you did? Why? I felt confused about the colours.


2. What do you feel that you did well? Why My bright colours and bold lines


3. What do you feel you did not so well? Why? I always do dark colours on my face.


4. What would you do differently next time? Why? I will make sure I use the right colours.
