Athletics

              

On Athletics day the whole school got to do Athletics. The seniors and juniors both had different courses. For the seniors it was Shot put, Javelin, Sprints, Discus and High Jump. I couldn't remember what the juniors one was though.

When the athletics started I was away. But they didn't get to finish all of it so then they did on another day and that's when I got to do half. He Half that we didn't do was Shot put Javelin, Sprints, and discus.

First was Sprints and for sprints we had to first run 50 meters then it was 75 meters, last was 100. We then moved on to Discuss and had to being in two lines. After that the people in front had to throw the discus in between these two cones that were spread out vertically.

Last was Javelin where we just threw the spear as far as we could. But for shot put we had to do it another time, cause it was already going to home. I wish I could of seen the rest of the athletics activities. Athletics is always good to do so you could be the best you can.

Technology

On Tuesdays class 5, class 3 and the year 7’s of class 1 go to Tamaki to do Tech. But on Thursdays class 4, class 2 and the year 8’s from class 1 go to tamaki. We are all put into groups that go to three groups.

The three groups are Hard materials, Graphics and Food. The group that I am in is Graphics with Mr Pineda. He is our graphics tutor that teaches us things about graphics. Second was Miss Heka and she was the food tutor. Last was Mr Grundy which is the hard materials tutor.

In graphics we have to plan on how we are going to make a burger box. But first Mr Pineda gave us the basics on the things we need. One of them is lines, second is width, height and length and third was Letters. Then we eventually got to make a 3D shape that was made from paper. All of our practise was done and thats when we planned a burger box and had to form it into proper one.

The tech group that I enjoyed was food with miss Heka cause we got to make different types of food that were nice. Also when we make cake or cookies it taste quite nice. But then in the end we still have to clean up the mess before we eat. The thing that I liked making the most was the enchiladas. It was kind of like a taco on how we made it.

In the end Technology was alright but next year I hope it would be better next year.

Te Tuhi

On Monday 1st of December Class 5 went on a trip to Te Tuhi at Pakuranga, which was near the plaza. When we went in a man name Jimmy came to tour us around the place. He lead us into a studio and told things about Tongan Tapa, Fijian Tapa and Samoan Tapa.

Jimmy told us that we were going to try and make our own tapa on a piece of paper. Before we started Jimmy showed us three types of tapa that he told us before. The first one was Masi which was the Fijian tapa. Second one was the Ngatu which was Tongan tapa. Then the last one was Siapo which was Samoan tapa.

The process on how this started was that we first had to get a red and brown pastel, and put it on side. The paper had four squares and another four squares inside. We had to move the flat bit of the pastel on the four squares back and forward. When that was done we grabbed  a paint brush and dyed the whole paper.

When we were done Jimmy would put it up on the stairs too dry when the other schools do it. We grabbed another paper that had the same thing as what we just did on it, but was made in another school. The next thing we had to do was draw something that related to us, like our culture, home, entertainment and family. Once you we were done drawing you would colour it in and then dye the background.

When everyone was done Jimmy leaded us to a TV which showed water. He told us how important water was cause we needed water to survive. There were only two water places where our water goes into our houses. I couldn't remember the places of where they were though.

We then finished with Jimmy saying a few more things about how good we have being at the gallery. We took our Tapa with us that we made in the art studio. When they grabbed it the tapa was already looking like proper Tapa.

Future Aspirations 2

Today on Wednesday the whole seniors were in the street so we could hear some of the people who were young and had a good dream. First of all we had to make sure the place was cleared and make sure the shelves were moved. After that we sat down on on our mat and that's when the visitors came in.

First was Mr Patterson, and he introduced himself. Then Mr Patterson introduced the other visitors to our whanau. There names were Anthony Samuels, Amelia, Paula and another person but he didn't say a speech. The visitors were going to have a turn having a speech and also gave us some messages that would help us in the future.

Anthony’s story was about being an actor on What Now, and also owning his own company. Second was Paula and his story was about when he was young but quite tall. Paula told us that he joined the swimming team because he was quite good at swimming. But Paula actually used a secret weapon which was his tall legs. When it came to the race he nearly drowned because the pool was too deep.

Last was Amelia and she talked to us about how her friends thought that she couldn't make it in anything, But then she discovered that she could do fashion. That was all of the stories of the future aspirations people who came in to talk to us about. Then the visitors told us there messages, and first was Anthony s message which was your past does not have to determine your future. Paula’s message was to keep trying. Last was Amelia's which was believe you can do it believe you know it and believe you deserve it I think.

And that was the end of all of there speech. We ended it with our school song which was Mihi Mairai.

Whanau Tangle pattern

If you have two classes who have joined together but you need something that can make people realize that you have joined together, then a whanau tangle pattern is what you need. I will tell you how to make one.

First you need to make a pattern on the paper that has been outlined with a pen or colouring pen. After everyone has done that, you then have to make a celtic knot. The celtic knot is knot that has no beginning or end cause it is a whole group. To do the celtic knot you need to do a weaving that goes under and over.

After you have done that you should have your own whanau tangle pattern that you created with others. When we first did it I felt like it was going to be hard to make the tangle pattern. Because we don’t have any instructions to tell us, so we made up our own.

That is the best activity to do if you wanted to join two classes together cause they also have there own pattern that they created, don’t remember that. It would always be different because thats what some of us are. I hope you enjoy making your own whanau tangle pattern with everyone.

Revolution Tour

On Wednesday day afternoon a group name the Revolution Tour came to our school hall to talk to us about something and giving us a message. The revolution tour were from Australia. The only thing about this is that only the seniors which were the year 7s and the year 8s came to watch them. When everyone settled two people talked to us and then introduced us on what there names were. I couldn’t remember what there names were though.

For them to give us a message they did it in a play. First they were in class and then someone had to introduce a new person they was only there first time. The person that was introducing the new guy on who his name was started bullying him. Then when it came to sports there had to be leaders who pick who they want. But the new person didn’t like the school because he got bullied, so then the a person from the start told us that the message was stop the bull.

What I learnt from that message was that I need to do something when some is getting bullied and help them if they don’t feel alright and they feel scared. Also I need to be standing up for someone who will bullied. It affects me by if I was bullied and I didn’t feel welcome.

What I am going to do is help one another.

Kiwi Sport Football

In class 5 we go to football Kiwi sport at the hard court. We do football with sophia and she teaches us some tricks and how to play football. We are also in teams that are names of one of the countries in the world. The name of my team is Switzerland and in my team there is Peh so, Frank, me and Evan.

Sophia gives us football games against the other teams in our class. We don’t really win our games but we still like playing. But sometimes we get a tie on our games. Sophia gives us a short time to play so we have to be fast. In our team we try to plan our moves so we can get a score but sometimes it doesn't work.

It is fun playing tournaments with the other teams but our team can’t score fast enough because of how short we play for. There are six teams altogether that play in different courts but the rest are left out watching until the other games are finished. Sophia calls us in when the times up by first blowing her whistle. Then she sees who won there game and then they verse another team that has won there game.

After the teams have versed every other country we see which country has got the most points and then they win one of sophia’s prize. The country or team that won were the Brazil team with 18 points.

My Colour wheel

Colour

Introduction:

There are different types of colours such as Blue, Orange, Yellow, Green, Violet and others like that. Colours are everywhere and we see them everywhere. Colours are used to make something stand out and look good.

Primary Colours:

Primary colours are the first colours before the the tertiary colours or secondary colours. The primary colours are Blue, Red and Yellow. If you mix them together they will make the secondary colours.

Secondary Colours:

To make secondary colours you need to mix two primary colours. Like this:

Red and Blue = Violet, Blue and Yellow = Green, Red and Yellow = Orange. Orange, Violet and Green are all of the secondary colours because they were made by the primary colours.

Tertiary Colours: Now to make tertiary colours, and to make that you need to have the secondary and Primary colours to be mixed. Violet and Red = Dark Red, Violet and Blue = Dark Blue, Green and Blue = Light Blue. Next one Yellow and Orange = Brown, Orange and Red = Dark red and Green and Yellow = Light green.

Those are all of the tertiary colours that can be made from secondary and primary colours.

Algorithm Math DLO

Here is my math Algorithm DLO presentation.  

AFL

In class 5 we do AFL and at AFL we need to remember the three rules which were lacers away from face’s. The X on the ball pointing to where you want it to go and kicking the ball with your foot. We then had a game on the field which was kicking your ball to the other side and the others have to catch the ball. We got to play the game twice and then we switch sides and play twice again.

For our next session we had a warm up and learned the icecream scoop. For the ice cream scoop you have to tight you hand up and hit the X point of the ball. We did that and hit the ball to sa partner. Then we had a game and see who could get the most hits. That was easy but we only had a little bit of time until we go back.

It was fun doing AFL but we might learn some other things after that.

Immersion Assembly Term 3

At Immersion Assembly Term 3 our topic is Game On. At first Mr Jacobson showed us a Video about some one riding there bike and jumping over a bump and did a 360 as well. As the man was riding, the handle on the bike came off and then it broke apart. The Video then showed him flying off the bike in slow motion when it stopped. That was the introducing of Game On, when the teams had to get ready for there item.

Team 1 was first and there item was Introducing the athletes from around the world competing. There was a person from New zealand, Africa, Fiji, Samoa, Canada, America and Spain I think that we're competing.  Afterwards it showed the Queen which talked about the games and also talking about us on doing well in class.

Next went Team 2 were they had a video of which was competing in the games. The types of games that they played were Javelin throw, Sprinting and Shot put. The thing that I thought was weird was that there were only about four teachers in it compared to how much teachers there an in Team 1. But then Mr Jacobson said that some of them were away. So then after the video the four teachers came up to the front of the assembly room next to the stage and held up a gold trophy.

After team 2 was team 3 which did gymnastics. This had a video that showed ladies performing in this area where they had ribbons and a ball or a hula hoop  to do tricks on. It was quite cool because they were also flexible as well. The ladies with the hula hoops could throw them up and catch them with there legs. The video was quite short when the teachers of Team 3 then tried to do what the other ladies do but they didn't.

Then went Team 4 which did Potato sculpting and on this one you had to make a sculpture out of potato. This one had different competitors from different countries which were Scotland, Jamaica, Canada, America and Spain I think. There also had to be a referee for the game as well. When they got ready Canada straight away got disqualified but I didn't know why. The person who made the best sculpture was Jamaica.

Lastly Team 5 which was the one my teacher was in. Our one was about the teachers going to different countries around the world. The first person went to Spain and showed us pictures of what its like at Spain. The next person went to New York in America, after was Atlanta, Samoa, Fiji and one more but I forgot. They also talked about what it was like and what they do there.

That was the end of the teams that showed there topic. I know that today on Wednesday 23rd of July is the

opening of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth games. It is sort of like the Olympics but different. “This is the first time seeing it so I wonder what it will be like”.

Future Aspirations

Today on Wednesday Four visitors from Future Aspirations came to tell us about how they got there jobs and inspire us about how we should succeed in life. There names were Jason Sharma, Alfred Fairea, Arizona Legar and Andrew.The person that came to talk to us first was Andrew and he works at radio live. He told us about how he enjoyed being at his job, but he also told us that he had to wake up very early in the morning. Andrew said he had to wake up at about 4:00 Am to get ready for work when his Radio started at 6:00 and then finished at 9:00am.

Afterwards the next person named Jason Sharma talked to us about how he got his job being a teacher at Tamaki College.Then went Alfred Fairea who gave us some advice to be a police officer and that there are other jobs around it so as being a security guard. But then the last person named Arizona Legar gave us heaps of information that could help us to succeed in life. Her story was about when she was a kid at school she would always talk when the teacher is talking. But then she finds a way to use her talking in good use at high school.

She then got a job at communicate but I can’t remember what she said it was about. Arizona has told us some things that she used to try and get her own enjoyable job. The things that she used were her five lines that was number one: Do some work, number two: Nothing is true as true as you I think. Number three I couldn't remember but then number four was being confident about doing something and finally number five was strive to stay alive. After her telling us that I would apply to that by trying to remember one of them and then use it when I get into college so that I can study to get a enjoyable job like hers.

Plant, food Research

Plant, food Research

P 1: On Wednesday three Scientist visitors from company that does Plant and food research came to the Pt England senior block to show us experiment. We sat in the what the teachers call the Street in the senior block. The people’s names were Jacob, Lora and Lara. They told us that they were into science and biology.

P 2: For the first experiment Lora told us about observing the acid, base and neutral. She poured some Cabbage juice in to a long bottle then poured in vinegar in a different bottle. Lora tried to tell us and show us that they can change the base and acid with a neutral compound. If they changed the base of the cabbage juice would turn green but if it changed into an acid it would be red.

P 3: Our next experiment was with Dry ice and it White box that was steaming with Dry ice. The Ice came in a white box that was steaming when Jacob lifted the lid off the white box. He put on some gloves and then he picked up some of the ice. Meanwhile Lora poured in Mr muscle in a bottle and then Jacob dropped the ice in the bottle of Mr muscle and what happen was amazing.

There were heaps of bubbles that came out of the bottle non stop.

P 4: It then came to the last experiment which they did. The last experiment was when they mixed liquid to make gunge. The gunge was green and it looked like slime. When Jacob picked some green gunge out of the bottle the gunge was still in liquid form a little. Lora then picked some and rolled some up and it turned into a solid. She then gave some to most of us and we got to feel it.

Not everyone got one but it did feel weird when I found one on the ground. Lora and Lara then asked us question about our jobs and experiments. Some of us said how they got into science. It was cool watching them do Science with them.

Class Five Swimming

                                                    Swimming

At Pt England school Class Five has swimming for two weeks. We have to bring our togs every day because we have swimming every day. Our class always have it after lunch time but I don’t know why. When we get to the pools we have to wait outside for a while then we go in. After we got in the boys and girls went straight into their changing rooms.

I had my togs on so I would of being quick. Afterwards I walked out of the changing rooms and walked to the showers were there was more than one shower. There were four showers in total one cold and the other three were warm. I then saw some other boys coming but that's when I left the shower and went to the warm pools to wait. Later the boys and some girls got to the warm pools to wait as well so all we needed to do was wait for the swimming instructor.

We had to be put into to groups 1 and 2 so that the people in one go to the big pool. I was put into group two and then we were aloud  in the pool. The first thing we did was to use a swimming board and kick all the way to the other side with the board in front, head up and tommy looking down. When we got to the other side we had to go back but doing the same thing. Our swimming instructor told us to kick on our backs while we have the board on our legs but holding it.

I then saw some of the boys putting there boards away cause we weren't going to use them. The next thing we did was rocket arms, and that was when we had our hands together and up behind our ears then kick to the other side. We had two more things to do and that was the normal swim where you use your arms and legs. The last one was swimming on your back with your arms and legs and with that I couldn't see where I was going.

It was time to get out cause we only had a short amount of time so we couldn't have free time. That was the only thing we couldn't have free time but that was find. It was cool but on the next day we learn something else.

Science Road Show

Today on Friday Class 5 (Rm19) and Class 2 (Rm21) went to the Science road show at Tamaki. We walked down to Tamaki instead of going on a bus because it is close to Pt England. When we got there we went inside the schools hall and there were some stuff that we could play with. First the presenters told us some stuff about life and Gases then  they picked some volunteers so they could try something. This was about senses and if you can’t use your eyes to see you will make wrong choices.

When the show was over they told us that there would of been a competition to see who could be the people to get all three names on one of the science cards to the prize box. To do that they had to go and do the activity and give a reason why the that thing happened to one of the teachers that came with us. I didn’t know where to start but then I saw one of my friends he was trying to do something and it was trying to make a tunnel stand. To do this we had to put some blocks together and lift the board and lean then there was a platform board for it to stand on and we had to lift that up to. That then makes a standing 2D block tunnel.

When I was walking I saw a bowl that had some cards and they were the Science card to that you get to find the names of the activities on the card. It had four names of activities, but one of them was fake so it was actually three. One of them was Magnetic earth and on that you have to use a little magnet stick that was rectangle and on one side was red and on the other side was black. How it worked was that the red side on the magnet was to stick on the north pole and and the black side to stick on the south pole.

When we find that out we tell a teacher thats with us from point England to clip a hole on the name thats on the card. Then we could move on to the other things. Next up was Power point and on this there was a big heated light machine that was facing down on a mirror. The mirror was in the table and in a curved shape like a bowl. On this you have to figure out where the hot spot is, and it was easy cause when that light reflects off the mirror it could make it even hotter.

Then I had one more to go but I forgot what it was. This activity had four middle size cylinders and two of them had water filled with it but the other two had air. These cylinders were actually connected somehow but the water and the air were still separated. Somehow the strings of the balls had to get in though whatever's separating it. But anyways you had to spin it and find out why the two balls that were in the water part of the cylinder spin in and the two balls in the air part of the cylinder spin out.

I had some help for this one because it was the first activity I did. For the air one the balls have no force to stop it from spinning out. Then for the water one the balls had water to stop it from spinning out because of the waters force. I was finished so then I put my card in the Prize box on a table. Then I went to go explore some of the things there.

I went on nearly all of them I think, and one of the one’s that I like was this camera that makes people look strongish yellowish reddish looking. I think it was heat vision camera I think. We then were told to come back for our second show. As we came back we saw another school but I didn't know what school they were from. The presenters then gave us another show for us to see and it was about how loud the balloon pops with some fire thing.

There were two balloons one medium size and one big size that was the same size as a school bag. One of the presenters told us that the council said to them that we have to cover our ears because it will make a loud noise. It started I looked at some people and then I heard a boom. But it didn't feel like it was loud when another presenter said “that was nothing”. This next one is going to be loud and that presenter wasn't joking.

The balloon was big like when I said before and they had a more strong fire maker. I was getting nervous and I wasn't lying because as soon as that fire touched the balloon I saw the balloon blow up with a massive fire vortex around it. But that wasn't all because it was so strong that there also was a powerful wave that came to our chest and pushed us back. Everyone were talking about what just happened to them and how powerful it was.

We all had to calm down now after that and the last thing they talked about was some things about Carbon dioxide, Oxygen, Air, Gas and Nitrogen. One of the guys put something on the table and it was a cylinder that had Blue balls, Red balls, and a White ball. They meant something but I think the blue meant Oxygen but I couldn't remember. They told us this lesson because these are gas they we have and need. That was the last of the show for us but not for the other school.

I enjoyed going to the Science road show.

Class five Sound games Inquiry

In Class five we are playing sound games so that we can learn more. The sound game that I played was Sound and Instrument Exploration. There are three instrument options that you can choose. Bongobonaza,Pipes and Strings. I chose pipes because that was as Pan flute and I always wanted to play it.


You learn to do the high pitch and a low pitch on your instrument. When you start on the pan flute, you will be giving questions about knowing the pipes and how the sound vibrations can be high and low. On the last question I started to play around with the pipes so I could do different pitch and frequency. 

After that I finished the Pan flute questions. I was going to start the others but I thought I might go on the another sound game. It was cool doing it but I if you want to have a go click on this link down here.

Badminton

                         Badminton

In class 5 we did Badminton in the hall. It is like tennis but the racket is longer and the ball is actually a thing could a shuttle. Shuttles a not like tennis balls because they don’t roll. How to play the game is that you have to hit the shuttle and don’t let it fall on the ground. But first we did some warm ups to practise for a game and they taught us to use the forehand and the backhand.

We even played stuck in the mud for one of the warm up games. So then we were given rackets and we had to hold with a forehand grip and backhand grip. Our class was practising hitting the shuttle. The person Rob told us a to use forehand and backhand to hit the shuttle as well. We all practices for a little bit of time until we were called back again.

Rob then showed us that we have to find a partner and practice hitting the shuttle to each other. After that we then had a game. If who ever misses the ball the partners have to sit down. But quite a lot of us had to sit down quick but then there were winners and the best was a year seven called Taniela and a year eight called Jabez. They were the best because they called go for long but I thought they weren't going to be the best for the next round that we had.

I was wrong because they came first again. It was a short game but then we had to go because I think there was going to be another class going. It was fun doing badminton but I bit hard because its not like tennis. I wonder what will happen when we go to it next Thursday and what will we learn.

Immersion assembly

At the Immersion assembly our topic was about how things move and work. Mr Burt was presenting us with the team items that the teachers do. The First team was Team One and there one was all about the Zoo because they were going to the zoo tomorrow. Team one was going to learn about what makes you safe and what makes the Animals safe like home.

The next Team was Team Two and this was all about flying and how things move in the air. It showed Hot Air Balloons and Panes flying and going up. It was kind of funny when they did there dance at the start. After team two were Team Three with there colours and how colours can form a rainbow on the water and can reflect off some things. So like if there were colours Blue, Green, Purple, Red, Orange and Yellow and they shined on a green cloak the green colour would reflect off because the cape is green.


One of the teachers also said that what kind of colour is a banana

when its in the dark. Team Four was next and this was all about what can float and what sink also the buoyancy of things. We watched a movie and there was a person that looked like he was a scientist and he told us some things. When the movie was over the teachers for team four gave us a quiz to see who was listening.

The final team was Team Five and this was all about sound and music. There were six teachers altogether and they all carried instruments and did some music. My teacher Miss Paget was in this one and her and the others were wearing black glasses. There also was a movie about the instruments and the sounds that they make. When all of the teams had finished there items Mr Burt said a few things and the pray then we went back to class.




 

Fia Fia night 2014

                  FiaFia 2014

On FiaFia night my mum dropped me off to the front area of school. When I got out of the car she left me so I could go get changed into my other clothes that I had to bring for my FiaFia group. It made me feel a bit nervous cause of so much people. I walked into the school grounds outside the breeze and I could see a big crowd everywhere and kids from other schools. As I walked to my changing room I saw Bailee and he was dropped off. Me and Bailee saw Paris and he was just walking around looking around.

When all of us were together we started wandering around going to The ICT to see if our group was there, but they weren’t because it was to early. Instead we started going around looking at things talking to friends. It was a bit hard because it was too loud. I couldn’t really hear myself speak properly so I had to scream or talk closer to some people. Paris told me and Bailee to come so we could see if our tutor teachers and group are there so we could get change because It was getting dark.

We saw them at last and we had to quickly get changed before we go. Inside my plastic bag were my White Top and Very Dark Blue Jeans. Instead of taking off the clothes that I had on I just stuck the jeans on and my White T-shirt as well. We did a quick run though for our group the Asian group and then we went out onto the field to get ready for the FiaFia. We then had to wait for the other groups but it didn't take that long and then it started. It was the Senior Kapa Haka group and they would of had to do heaps of practise because it was long.

After them were the Junior Kapa Haka that were year 1 and year 2. They looked quite good but in the end they were amazing, doing the Haka with mana. When they were done thats when FiaFia was really going to happing. Third after Junior Kapa Haka were the Bollywood/salsa Which is an Indian dance that the Indians do. Fourth was Hip Hop senior which had the intermidate year 7s and year 8s.

They did two songs but remixed together so it was Happy by Pharell Williams and another song that I don’t know. When it was our groups turn we started off in the Dragon went in a U in the middle of the crowd then went on stage, went around then came back off. After that the Ribbon Girls came on and they did some mexican waves and other stuff but when it was the boys turn to come on we had sticks and swords. It was short though and our last thing we had to do was our Kung Fu Fighting dance. On our ending we were supposed to kick off the stage but instead we just jumped and kick.

Samoan were the next group and there one was longer then the Asian group. Then went the Tongan girls next Band Music, after were the Fijian, when they were done it was the Tongan boys and they had a cool one. It was amazing when the groups performed it was much better then our rehearsal because the dances were kind of messed up. It was cool being at the FiaFia  But I wonder what group I should be in next year if we have it.

Doing PE at Tamaki College

On Fridays the seniors class 2,5 and 4 go to PE at Tamaki College after morning tea time. All of us have to quickly get back to class and put our PE t- shirt on as well. So then we walked down and it felt like we were going to walk to Tamaki for tech. When we got their we sat down at the field and the Tamaki people put us into teams, and I was in the same team as my friends. The first thing we did was play chain tag and you needed to have two people connected to each other and try to tag other people.

Then the next game we played was the Trust walk blindfold. For this we had to go in pairs and the person I went with were quite good and so as I. My partner named Lee didn't want to go first so I did but I wanted to go first any way. Before I went I looked at the path and it went zig zag so I had to trust Lee to make me go Zig zag. It wasn't scary at all but it did feel quite long, when it was Lee turn and he was quite fast because he knew the path.

Lee and I did it two times because we were fast but we had to be quick cause our team had to move on to our final activity. The final activity was a game where you can’t move but you are holding a ball and have to touch the person without moving. It was quite hot but we finished and we got ready to go back to Pt England.

Science with Mr Barks

At Pt England school the intermediate year 7s and year 8s do a rotation. Classes 5,4,3,2 and 1 are all switched to others. My class was in Science with Mr Barks and we practise putting two or three different masses of chemical liquid like Corn syrup,water,Veg oil and dish soap. The first thing that happened was that Mr Barks put a little bit of veg oil and dish soap in a separate cup. Mr Barks then told us about the different masses about these liquids and Dish soap had a higher mass.

So if we put the cup that has the Veg oil in it on the Dish soap the veg oil will stay on top because its lower mass. But if you switch it around the dish soap will stay below the oil cause of the mass. After that our teacher put in a little ice cube then we had to observe it, When that did happen the ice was taking a long time to melt.

After that he went to tell to pack up because it was nearly home time already. His class coming back from their class to get ready to go home. The cups that had the liquid were emptied in the bin and made sure there was nothing on the table. It was fun doing Science with Mr Barks but tomorrow It would be cool if we do something a bit dangerous.

When I woke up I felt really tired after my mum went to force me out of bed so she made sure I’m on time for school. It was only 7:30 though so I had heaps of time but I knew that I would of gone back to sleep if she didn't wake me up.  First I went to the toilet, then the bathroom had a shower, brush my teeth, comb my hair, clean my hair, put on my School clothes, make my lunch and finally have breakfast.

I then looked at the time on my computer and it was 8:? something I forgot. So that meant it was time to go to school, it takes about 10 minutes to get there. On my way I saw some other pt England children walking and some in cars been driven to school. That doesn't happen to me any more because my mum doesn't want to drop me off. But I still know that I called make it by walking.

Finally I was at school and ready to learn some more new things and getting some work done,with a good morning. I see friends playing and getting ready to learn in there classes. As I walked to my class I heard a the bell rang so I was right on time. My class door also oppend so we could go straight in and ready for the Karakia that we do some times.

About my self

My name is Jonson and I like to play games and ride on my bike. I live in GI and I also like to do cool stuff too. Things that are cool and favorite for me are to play outside and watch movies. I’ve got two brothers one goes to work and the other one has a project he works on. One of them also goes to a freerunning place with his friends.
